Long considered
a pagan ritual
I am
Celebrated with fire
and these days
I make waiters
sing
What am I?

only the maker knows
the cost of making me,
when bought
I am without value,
yet sometimes I am traded.
I can be solemn,
I can be fun,
but when broken,
nothing of me remains.
What am I?

In the movie Ocean’s 13 Al Pacino is trying to open a new, huge, ultra fancy hotel. It has one hundred exclusive rooms with yacuzzi’s, massagechairs, you name it, and every door is painstakingly handpainted by Salvatore, a Portuguese tiling artist who has been specially flown in for the job. The guy is kinda quirky and apart from a huge fee he charges 500 bucks extra for every nine he has to paint. How many nines does Salvatore have to paint and how much extra does he make? (more…)

I’m a little bit of everything
all rolled into one
You loved me while I loved another
You left me when I loved you back.
Damn.
My greatest love was for a house
that I got in the end,
As well as an Oscar
222 minutes in all: What movie am I? (more…)

A hoard of rings am I,
but no fit gift for a bride;
I protect my wearer
With all that I am
But in today’s society
Most of you would call me Spam…
What am I?
Kind regards,
Riddleman

pretty tough language riddle:
Britney didn’t want me,
Marilyn didn’t want Norma or me either,
but Jean Harlow loved me so much
she stole me.
What am I?

Double my number, I’m less than a score,
Half of my number is less than four.
Add one to my double when bakers are near,
Days of the week are still greater, I fear.
What am I? (more…)

My first is in the movies,
But not in Gone with the wind
My second is a place to drown your sorrows
after you have made the third of yourself
My fourth is definitely not Vivien Leigh
And lastly I could do with a cup!
So, what am I? (more…)

Inspired by the movie with Vin Diesel you too have decided to take on the job of being a nanny. (if you didn’t see the movie yet, don’t! It’s terrible)
Your first job is a pair- excuse me, a group- of quintuplets! When you arrived at the job, the babies’ parents dutifully gave you a piece of paper which told you the colors of the pacifiers of each baby and their crib number. (All the babies have to sleep in their own cribs because that’s where their favorite stuffed animals are! Oh, and if you’re wondering why they need their pacifiers, try getting a cute little baby to be quiet and sleep without one
However, as you prepared to tuck the babies in for their naps, you find that you’ve gone and lost the list! Using the information that you remember, find out what color pacifier each baby has and which crib he/she sleeps in. Good luck! (You’re going to need it…)
Baby names: Anna, Pippa, Emma, Stella, Laura
Pacifier colors: sienna, crimson, lime, hot pink, teal
Crib numbers: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
1. Anna ate dinner (some Gerber apple sauce) with Stella, the baby from crib 3, the baby with the crimson pacifier and the baby with the lime one.
2. Laura’s crib number is lower than the baby with a lime pacifier, but higher than Emma’s.
3. Emma’s crib number isn’t 1.
4. Anna’s crib number is higher than Laura’s.
5. The baby with a hot pink pacifier has a higher crib number than that of the baby with a sienna pacifier, but has a lower crib number than Pippa, whose crib number isn’t five. (more…)
