Being Miss Marple Riddle

Be Miss Marple for a day - solve this murder mystery :

Lord Edgeware was found murdered in his library one Sunday morning.

His wife immediately called on her dear freind Miss Jane Marple to help solve the mystery.

Miss Marple questioned everyone in the house and was given these alibis:


The Wife said she was in bed reading a book.
The Cook claimed she cooking breakfast.
The Gardener claimed he was planting seeds.
The Maid claimed she was getting the mail.
The Butler claimed he polishing the silver.Miss Marple didn’t need long to think about this mystery and emediately pointed out the murderer. Who did it and how did she know?

    there is a problem with this riddle…. Lord Edgeware WAS killed in the Library, BUT it wasnt a Miss Marple mystery, it was a Poirot….
    BOTH were written by Agatha Christie though.
    anyways, just thought I’d letchya know :p
